This winter there have been multiple instances of 4-5 kids from my class being sick with some sort of stomach virus. This has been true for every grade level in the school.
Yesterday it hit my house.
I will spare you the details. But after 13 years of teaching, and almost 8 years of motherhood, I was not prepared for the grossness. **shudder**
So today was spent taking care of a sick little one. I spent all day snuggled up with her, making her feel better. Totally confident in my ability to stay healthy. As a veteran Kindergarten teacher, I don’t usually get sick. I figure I’m immune to most everything, right?
Right?!
Well, tonight I’m worried I may be overconfident in my ability to stay healthy. I’ll let you know how it works out….
