A little about me…
I am a fairly recent widow (my husband died in a cycling accident in early 2020), and a mom to 2 fantastic kiddos. I’m from the Washington, DC area originally and grew up with many teachers in my family. I went to college and worked as a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher in Virginia for 14 years.
My family and I moved overseas to Korea to work for DODEA (schools on military bases), and I taught Kindergarten there for 4 years. Now I’m back stateside, teaching Pre-K in North Carolina. Teaching Pre-K has reinvigorated my commitment to being PLAY based, and I am enjoying the autonomy of the Pre-K curriculum.
Outside of teaching, I love to dance (I was a ballerina through college!), sing, and to garden.
